September Favourites: Sugar-Free Cookies, New Music, Gym Essentials And More!
Welcome Holistic fam, to the first of manyyyy more monthly favourites posts! I’ve been loving SO many new things in the month of September and while I can’t believe that the first month of spring here in Australia is ALREADY over, I’ve been excited to share these things with you! From my newest gym essentials to my hack for more energy, September had a lot to offer!
#1: Sugar-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies
My favourite recipe this month has got to be my go-to sugar-free, gluten-free chocolate chip almond cookies! You don’t even understand how good they are. I don’t eat sugar but I have a massive sweet tooth. This means I am always on the lookout for yummy treats that are both healthy and can satisfy my late night cravings. That is how I stumbled upon this recipe! The original recipe is one I found online but I have modified it and added a few things to make it even more delicious than the tasty OG I found on Pinterest.
Chocolate Chip Almond Cookies! GF DF SF
These gluten-free, sugar-free chocolate chip cookies have been my go-to late night snack as of late. They're super easy to make and despite having no refined sugar what so ever, they're the perfect sweet tooth satisfier!

- 6 Tbs Protein Powder Vanilla
- 1 Tsp Baking Powder
- 1 Tsp Carob Powder Optional
- 1/4 Cup Pure Maple Syrup Or any sweetener
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- 1 Tbs Almond Butter
- 1/2 Cup Loving Earth Chocolate Any chocolate of your choice

Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Combine all the dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
Add the maple syrup and vanilla. Mix the ingredients together until well combined.
Add the almond butter, Loving Earth chocolate chopped up and the almonds. Use your hands to combine together and roll into evenly sized balls.
Flatten the balls and place into the oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes depending on how crunchy you like your cookies.
#2: New beats
I discovered a new artist this month and I am in love with his music! When I found him on Instagram I thought he was just a random dude lip singing to really good songs but he then I discovered that he actually makes those really good songs. And sings them too haha.
His name is A.Rotz The Artist and my favourite so far is Stare Down.
#3: Gym essentials
My absolute favourite this month in the gym has got to be my resistance bands! They’re literally my newest gym essentials and I don’t go to the gym without them anymore. I’ve been using them in EVERY single leg workout and most upper body workouts this month. They’re great to use during activation exercises, which is so important for getting the best results from every workout you do. You can also use them as a part of your workout to make specific exercises more intense and get that deep burn you really want.
#4: Energy hack
If you know me then you’d know I’m tired all the time. Something that I have been taking before every single workout, and just during the day as a pick me up, is Voost. In a way, this effervescent vitamin B tablet with added caffeine and guarana has become one of my gym essentials too! I’m not a fan of pre-workout in all honesty and I find that the Energy Voost is such a great alternative!
#5: Squats that target the booty
We all know that squats are predominantly an exercise that works the quads. But placing your feet a lot wider with your toes slightly pointed out targets your glutes more than the normal squat would. These bad boys are known as sumo squats. I tried them with the barbell the other day for the first time in agessss and the burn I felt in my glutes, not to mention the next day, was insane.
Stand with a wide stance, point your toes outward and push through your heels while squeezing your glutes on the way up. It’s killer! Here are some more tips for targeting your booty in squats!
That’s it for my September favourites. I would love to know what you’ve loved this month so leave a comment in the comments section for the rest of the Holistic fam to check out!
